In a top-secret meeting with a major ad agency, Microsoft revealed its plans for the AI-powered Bing, and it's going to give users the opportunity to click on paid links within the search results. That's right, you read it correctly - PAID links.

The secret to Bing's new capabilities lies in the magic of generative artificial intelligence, which produces original answers in a human-like voice. According to reports, Microsoft is already testing ads in the new chatbot version of Bing that's only available to a select few lucky users.

This cutting-edge chatbot generates responses to open-ended questions, and Microsoft expects the more human-like the responses, the more users will flock to Bing. 

And with more users, you guessed it - more advertisers.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves - we all know that AI can be a little unpredictable, and both Bing and Google have recently unveiled their own chatbots. And with every percentage point of market share gained in the search advertising market, Microsoft could be looking at another $2 billion in ad revenue.

So it seems that Microsoft has big plans for Bing, and the AI-powered search engine could be a major player in the advertising space. However, only time will tell if Bing can truly give Google a run for its money.
